“Jacare” Souza and Ronda Rousey Lead Latest Strikeforce Payroll

The California State Athletic Commission has released the salaries for Strikeforce’s event Saturday night in San Diego, and former middleweight champ Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza led the way.
The accomplished jiu-jitsu competitor collected $94,000 ($72,000 plus a $22,000 win bonus) for his first round knockout win over Derek Brunson, who was paid $13,000.
Headliner and women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey earned $40,000 (including a $20,000) for her first round, armbar win over Sarah Kaufman. The former champion earned $17,000 for the loss according to the CSAC.
Here are the salaries that were disclosed to the CSAC by Strikeforce. The figures below do not include any other bonuses or sponsorships a fighter collected for their bouts.
