Anthony Pettis has become one of the sport’s top lightweights thanks in large part to the coaching and training he’s received with the Roufusport team, and now the renowned Wisconsin gym has announced he is one of the co-owners.

According to a press release sent out by the organization, Pettis has joined head coach Duke Roufus and General Manager Scott Joffe in the Roufusport ownership structure.

In addition, the team has announced that it will be partnering with the Wisconsin National Guard to create the “WI MMA Today” television show, which will air on WCGV TV My 24 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and surrounding areas every Saturday. The program, which will focus on the local and amateur MMA scene in Wisconsin, will debut on November 10^th.

“For me to become part owner of the gym that started my career in the UFC means the world to me,” Pettis was quoted saying. “I get to give other fighters the opportunity that Duke’s gym gave me. I’m sure there will be a lot of new responsibilities, but I’ve been running gyms since the age of 16, so it will be nothing new. I’m looking forward to new challenges, including the television show.”

The 25 year-old Pettis (15-2) hasn’t competed since February when he knocked out Joe Lauzon at UFC 144. The feared striker is expected to fight Donald Cerrone at UFC on FOX 6, January 26^th.
