Michael Chandler Reports Start of Camp “28”
By FCF Staff
There’s been no official word from the UFC on when and who Michael Chandler will fight in his promotional debut. But, the former Bellator lightweight champ is reporting that he’s started a training camp.
After Chandler signed with the UFC a few months ago, the fighter was tapped as an alternate for the October 24th fight between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Justin Gaethje. More recently, UFC President Dana White cited the weight cut Chandler had to do for that event, as to why there’s “no hurry” to book his debut.
More recently, however, Chandler shared out the comments below.
Locked and loaded. Camp number 28 starts today. See you at the top!
The 34-year-old Chandler (21-5) is coming off a quick, stoppage win over former UFC champ Benson Henderson in August.
