Anderson Silva

It looks like Triller’s upcoming event will feature two more, former UFC stars, in addition to Vitor Belfort.

The latter is booked to face now formerly, retired, boxing star, Oscar De La Hoya in a boxing match at Triller’s September 11 card. Now it’s being reported that Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz will battle in a 195-pound, catchweight boxing match at the event as well.

The matchup between the former UFC champs was reported first by MMA Fighting.

The 46-year-old Silva is coming off an impressive, decision win over former boxing champ, Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in June. The boxing match was Silva’s first fight since he exited the UFC last October.

The 46-year-old Ortiz, meanwhile, has never competed in a professional boxing bout. Ortiz’s last bout took place in 2019, when he quickly submitted Alberto El Patrón.

The September 11 Triller card will take place in Los Angeles.
