Eddie Alvarez has battled both Michael Chandler and Justin Gaethje during his remarkable career, and recently he shared why he thinks Gaethje will likely be victorious at UFC 268.

Gaethje and Chandler are scheduled to fight at this Saturday’s card, which will take place at Madison Square Garden in New York City. While responding to a tweet from UFC welterweight Sean Brady recently, Alvarez provided this prediction for Chandler – Gaethje.

True pick em .gun to my head I’m leaning Justin because of the leg kicks and the fact Mike doesn’t have a great deal of D, Mike’s easiest path is the ground , He could dominate JG there . But it will stay standing and I’d say The second most violent man gets it done JG KO

Alvarez (30-8) battled Chandler twice during his run with Bellator. After being submitted by Chandler in 2011, he avenged the loss with a split decision win in 2013.

In 2017, Alvarez became the first fighter to defeat Gaethje, as he stopped the lightweight at UFC 218.

At UFC 268, Gaethje (22-3) will be competing for the first time since October, 2020, when he was submitted by the now-former champ and retired, Khabib Nurmagomedov.

Chandler (22-6) is coming off a stoppage loss to Charles Oliveira in May, which was for the vacant, UFC lightweight title.
