Oleksandr Usyk Nearly Stops Tyson Fury, Unified Heavyweight Titles in Epic Battle

Oleksandr Usyk is the first, undisputed, heavyweight champion in over two decades, following his epic battle with Tyson Fury on Saturday.
After a bit of slow start, Fury found his range in the opening rounds and landed some stinging punches on Usyk. But, the Ukrainian boxer continued to push forward and in round nine he stunned Fury badly. The English fighter stumbled all over the ring and into what was ruled a knockdown.
Following 12 rounds of thrilling action, two of the judges scored the fight 115-112 and 114-113 for Usyk, while one judge had itn 114-113 for Fury.
With the win, Usyk moved his record to 22-0, while Fury’s now stands at 34-1.

After the fight, which marked Fury’s first pro-defeat, he said he intends to activate his rematch claus.
Saturday’s instant classic took place on Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
