Memorial Day Fund Drive Ongoing For Brian Stann’s “Hire Heroes”
By FCF Staff
Today is Memorial Day in the United States, and for people that want to support that country’s military vets, one way to do so is through an ongoing Facebook fund drive for the non-profit-organization “Hire Heroes”.
The charity, which is led by UFC middleweight contender Brian Stann, helps veterans find jobs after they have left the military.
For every Memorial Day image that is shared via Facebook, which The Call of Duty Endowment organization provides, Hire Heroes will receive one dollar from the latter.
The official Hire Heroes site says the following about the organization:
Hire Heroes USA (Hire Heroes) is dedicated to creating job opportunities for US military veterans and their spouses through personalized employment training and corporate engagement.
As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, Hire Heroes’ services are provided at no cost to the veteran
Vision:
Maintain the Nation’s most effective veteran transition and employment assistance program, modeling a process that will drastically decrease the unemployment rate of the men and women who served this country.
Stann, who himself is a decorated soldier, will fight former Bellator champion Hector Lombard at the upcoming UFC on FOX 4 card on August 4th.
