Matt Grice to Fight Dennis Bermudez

Chad Mendes didn’t have to wait long to lock up his next bout, following his first round KO of Yaotzin Meza five days ago, as the UFC has announced that the featherweight will battle Manny Gamburyan February 23rd.

In addition, as reported previously, the promotion has confirmed that Robbie Lawler will make his Octagon return at the UFC 157 card in Anaheim, and will face Josh Koscheck.

The recent win for Mendes (13-1) was his second KO win in a row, as he stopped Cody McKenzie in July, after getting knocked out by champion Jose Aldo in January.

Gamburyan (12-7) is coming off a unanimous decision win over Michihiro Omigawa in August, which ended the Judo experts three fight losing streak.

The UFC has also announced that Matt Grice (16-4) will fight featherweight Dennis Bermudez (9-3) at the February 23rd event, which will feature women’s bantamweight champ Ronda Rousey taking on Liz Carmouche.
