Stephen Thompson to Battle Amir Sadollah at UFC 160

The Ultimate Fighting Championship continues to add bouts to the promotion’s upcoming May 25th card in Las Vegas, as welterweights Stephen Thompson and Amir Sadollah have agreed to fight at the Memorial Day weekend event.
UFC 160 will be hosted by the MGM Grand Garden Arena, and will feature heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez taking on Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva in the main event.
Thompson (6-1) will be looking to rebound from his first professional defeat, as the noted karate practitioner is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Matt Brown last April. Prior to the defeat, Thompson KO’d Daniel Stittgen with a highlight reel, head kick at UFC 143.
Sadollah (6-4) is also looking to get back on the winning track, as the skilled kickboxer lost by UD to Dan Hardy, in his last outing at a UFC on FUEL event in September. Before the defeat, Sadollah worked his way to a split decision victory over Jorge Lopez at another UFC on FUEL card in May.
The Thompson, Sadollah match-up is the third bout to be announced for UFC 160, as Alistair Overeem is set to fight former heavyweight champ Junior dos Santos.
