THE OTHER SIDE…  Yesterday we posted the Chute Boxe camp’s explanation as to why Anderson Silva will not be fighting Carlos Newton on the upcoming UFC 34 card at The MGM Grand in Las Vegas on November 2. Now we bring you what the UFC had to say on the matter: "His team signed a contract and decided not to honor it — even Pride realized he would not be able fight on their card and pulled him," stated UFC VP of Talent Relations Joe Silva. When asked if they would pursue any legal action if Silva would attempt to fight elsewhere, the answer was swift, "We will pursue legal action." |
