The UFC continues to confirm bouts for the promotion’s first trip to Winnipeg, Manitoba on June 15th, as today it has announced that Soa Palelei will make his Octagon return versus Stipe Miocic on that date.

The promotion tweeted news of the bout which was first reported by the Australian publication MMA Kanvas.

Palelei (18-3), who hails from Australia, returns to the promotion armed with an eight fight win streak, which includes wins over vets like Sean McCorkle, Bob Sapp and Shunsuke Inoue.

The fighter, who is nicknamed “The Hulk”, hasn’t fought for the UFC since December, 2007, when he was stopped by Eddie Sanchez. The only man to defeat Palelei in 11 bouts since is Daniel Cormier.

Miocic (9-1), meanwhile, is looking to recover from his first pro loss to date, as the heavyweight was stopped by Stefan Struve in last outing in September. The Ohio fighter is 3-1 to date in the UFC.

UFC 161 will be hosted by Winnipeg’s MTS Centre and will feature a light-heavyweight bout between “Shogun” Rua and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira in the main event.
