Bantamweights Johnny Bedford and Erik Perez will face off at UFC 159.

The announcement came from an update via Bedford’s Twitter page. Which read,

“Time to make it official! I am fighting Erik Perez, April 27th at #UFC159. Both undefeated in the @ufc Sorry homie but your 0 must go!!”

Bedford (19-9-1) is coming off of two impressive knockout victories over Louis Gaudinot and Marcos Vinicius after losing in the The Ultimate Fighter 14 semifinals to teammate John Dodson.

After submitting John Albert in his UFC premier, Perez followed his debut victory with two consecutive knockout finishes over Ken Stone and Byron Bloodworth. Perez (13-4-0) is looking to add Johnny Bedford to his flawless list of UFC victories.

The event is scheduled to take place on April 27 at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey, and is set to be headlined by a light heavyweight title fight between Jon Jones and challenger Chael Sonnen.
