WSOF 6: Burkman and Carl on Weight for Championship Headliner

Here are the official weigh-in results for World Series of Fighting’s sixth event tomorrow night in Coral Gables, Florida, which will feature Josh Burkman battling Steve Carl to determine the promotion’s welterweight champion.
According to the numbers released by the WSOF, several fighters missed weight on their initial attempts, including Dan Lauzon, Alexander Pimentel and Marcelo Alfaya.
“He just said he was glad it was me he was facing and that I deserved this shot,” Carl was quoting saying in a press release from the promotion, while discussing what Burkman said to him as the two squared off.
“I have a lot of respect for him and he deserves to be here more than anyone,” said Burkman. “This is the biggest fight I’ve ever had to fight for the inaugural belt in the World Series of Fighting. It’s a big night for both of us.”
WSOF 6 will be hosted by the Bank United Center and the main card will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
