According to a tweet from the promotion, the bout will take place in Jaragua do Sul, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
Machida (20-4) is coming off a first round knockout win over Mark Munoz at UFC Fight Night 30, which was the former light-heavyweight champ’s middleweight debut.
Mousasi (34-3-2) hasn’t fought since April, when he scored a unanimous decision win over Ilir Latifi at a UFC on FUEL TV card. The former Strikeforce champ had been scheduled to fight Alexander Gustafsson, however, the latter wasn’t cleared to fight due to a cut he incurred in training.
The UFC’s has also announced that the bout will headline the Fight Night event.
