Dana White Responds to NY Post Critic On July 11th, the New York Post published a less-than complimentary (to say the least) article on the upcoming UFC reality show by columnist Phil Mushnick. UFC President Dana White was quick to respond to the piece. Here is a link to the original NY Post article. Below is a copy of the letter Dana sent to the editor of the tabloid:

From the event’s promoter: Euphoria MFC: October Event Becoming More Defined! October 16th, 2004, Atlantic City, NJ ‘Euphoria MFC is announcing our upcoming tournaments, scheduled to start in October,’ states matchmaker Miguel Iturrate. The tournaments will crown Euphoria MFC Champions in the lightweight and heavyweight divisions. ‘The first round matches are determined, but the 2nd round will be decided at the event,’ states the matchmaker. Euphoria has added a CONTENDERS tournament at 155 lbs. that will run along side the CHAMPIONSHIP tournament at 155 lbs. ‘At the end, you have a 3-0 fighter to face the newly crowned champion,’ elaborates the matchmaker. ‘One of our long term goals is to add structure, and with the current state of the game today, 155 lb. represented a BIG opportunity. There is a depth of talent there, and we think this series of tournaments will shine a light on that.’ In the heavyweight division, a match between Ben Rothwell and Johnathan Wiezorek has been agreed upon as an alternate match. ‘These are 2 young heavyweights with a lot of fights and potential. Rothwell is coming off some down time and a change in training, and Weez is coming off a disappointing UFC showing. Both are stepping up with something to prove,’ states the matchmaker. In the heavyweight tournament, RED DEVIL will be sending Ibragim Magomedov in place of injured Sergei Kaznovski. The opponent will be MFC veteran Travis Wiuff. ‘This is exciting, because Magomedov is coming off an 8 man tournament win in Holland, 3 fights in one day. Wiuff still gets no respect it seems, but he is on a HUGE roll — these could be the two favorites in the tournament!’ the matchmaker speculates. Much more to come on this series of events. All matches are subject to approval by the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board. Card Subject to Change: FIRST ROUND – 8 MAN LIGHTWEIGHT CONTENDERS TOURNAMENT (146 to 155 LBS.):
