Michael Bisping Outlines Why Eddie Alvarez Would “Destroy” Conor McGregor
By FCF Staff
The MMA world continues to debate what’s next for Conor McGregor, but according to Michael Bisping, the Irish star will be no match for Eddie Alvarez, if the two fight.
Alvarez has made it clear he’s interested in fighting McGregor, and has also been critical of the featherweight champ’s abilities. McGregor, in turn, has also said he’s not impressed with the lightweight champ. Now that McGregor has returned to the win column, by decisioning Nate Diaz at UFC 202, there’s been speculation the UFC might book him to face Alvarez next.
Recently Bisping was asked by the “Daily Star” for his take on Alvarez – McGregor, and the middleweight champ said the following:
“I think looking at that last fight, he does not want to fight Eddie Alvarez at 155,”.
“I think Alvarez kills him man. He’ll just take him down and destroy him.”
Alvarez won the lightweight title in July by quickly stopping Rafael dos Anjos. Bisping, meanwhile, is scheduled to fight Dan Henderson at UFC 204 on October 8th.
