UFC FN 99: Uriah Hall – Gegard Mousasi II Reportedly New Headliner
By FCF Staff
It looks like Gegard Mousasi will get his chance to avenge his defeat to Uriah Hall much sooner than anyone expected, as according to reports, a rematch between the two is the new headliner for UFC FN 99.
On Friday, MMA Fighting.com reported that Hall – Mousasi II has been booked to replace the original headliner between Gunnar Nelson and Dong Hyun Kim. According to the report, Nelson has been forced to withdraw due to an injury. MMA Junkie.com is also reporting that a fight between Hall and Mousasi is replacing the Kim – Nelson match-up.
Mousasi (40-6-2) and Hall (12-7) fought last September, and after losing the first round, the latter stopped Mousasi in round two.
Since then, however, Mousasi has gone on to win three straight and is coming off a TKO win over Vitor Belfort. Hall, meanwhile, has dropped consecutive bouts and was stopped by Derek Brunson in his last scrap.
UFC FN 99 will take place at the SSE Arena in Belfast, Northern Ireland on November 19th.
