Report: UFC Applying to be Co-Promoter For Mayweather – McGregor

Just over two weeks out from the August 26th, Floyd Mayweather – Conor McGregor bout, it’s been reported that the UFC has applied to be a co-promoter for the fight.
Currently, Mayweather Promotions is listed as the sole promoter for the all-star bout, and Showtime is the contest’s broadcasting distributor. But, MMA Fighting is reporting that the agenda for the Nevada Commission’s August 16th meeting, includes a request from the UFC to be a co-promoter for Mayweather – McGregor.
The Nevada Commission will also vote on whether Mayweather and McGregor can wear lighter, 8-ounce gloves that day, as the fighter’s have requested. Currently they are scheduled to wear 10-ounce gloves.
The upcoming fight will be hosted by the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
