UFC 232 last month featured the return of Jon Jones and super fight between Amanda Nunes and Cris “Cyborg”, and according to early estimates, it was the promotion’s second best pay-per-view event for 2018.
The December 29th card, which took place in Inglewood, California, is believed to have sold 700,000 PPVs, according to a report from MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer.
UFC 229 was the UFC’s top-selling event last year, as the card, which featured Khabib Nurmagomedov submitting Conor McGregor, is believed to have sold nearly 2.4 million PPVs.
At UFC 232, Jones ended up winning the vacant light-heavyweight title by stopping Alexander Gustafssson. The bantamweight champ Nunes added the featherweight title to her resume, by knocking out “Cyborg”.
