Anthony Smith Shares Out X-Ray of Broken Hand he Incurred in UFC Stockholm Win

Immediately after Anthony Smith submitted Alexander Gustafsson at UFC Stockholm, he reported he had broke his left hand during the fight. Since then, x-rays have confirmed that the light-heavyweight contender did indeed, break his hand during the pivotal win.
Smith shared out the x-ray below with ESPN’s Ariel Helwani.

While appearing on Helwani’s MMA Show, Smith said this (quote via MMA Mania):
”I think I said initially it happened in the first round, but it actually happened in the second,” he added. “It was a big overhand left, it must have hit him right on the top of the forehead … I knew right away, as soon as I landed the punch I felt the pop and I went to open and close my hand and I could feel the clicking and the bones moving around in the hand.”
Smith is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday, and the fighter believes it will be around six months before he fights again.
