AFC 1: Masakatsu Ueda Hands Royler Gracie Decision Loss in Final Bout

Royler Gracie was unable to earn a victory in his final MMA bout last night at Amazon Forest Combat’s inaugural event in Manaus, Brazil, as the renowned Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu practitioner lost by split decision to Shooto vet Masakatsu Ueda.
The 45 year-old Gracie retires having gone 5-5-1 during his MMA career.
The card also saw Judo Olympic Gold Medalist Satoshi Ishii draw with former WEC champion Paulo Filho, despite reportedly dominating Filho throughout much of the bout.
Former UFC competitor Karo Parisyan was unable to stop his losing streak, as the former welterweight contender dropped a split decision to Jordan Smith for his third consecutive loss.
