After Retirement Talk, Nick Diaz Calls For Rematch With GSP: “I Think I Could I Beat You””

Although Nick Diaz said he could “done with MMA”, immediately after he was handed a unanimous decision loss by Georges St. Pierre, the outspoken challenger proceeded to call for a rematch with the welterweight champ at the post-UFC 158 press conference.
Not only did Diaz inform St. Pierre that “I think I could beat you”, and that he wants a rematch, but he criticized the champion for not possessing any punching power. According to Diaz, St. Pierre “hits like a girl” and that he’s “too scared to let go.”
The remarks came not long after St. Pierre asked the Montreal crowd to understand that’s Diaz’s verbal assault of him heading into the bout, was “to promote the fight.” St. Pierre and Diaz had also raised each other’s arms in congratulatory fashion following the five round affair
Despite Diaz’s calls for a rematch, UFC President Dana White relayed that Johny Hendricks will be the next man to face GSP.
Hendricks defeated former interim champ Carlos Condit by unanimous decision in the co-main-event.
