After UFC 174 Wins, Ryan Bader and Ovince St-Preux Relay Interest in Fighting Next
By FCF Staff
Ryan Bader and Ovince St-Preux both scored wins at UFC 174, and the light-heavyweights relayed after the Vancouver card that they’d be interested in fighting each other next.
Bader, who turned to his wrestling to score a decision win over Rafael “Feijao”, had this to say about his next fight on the FOX Sports 1, post-fight show (quote via press release):
“I don’t know – OSP. He’s been on one of the biggest winning streaks in the division. He just beat one of my teammates, so I guess I should get some revenge.”
Bader was coming off a UD victory over Anthony Perosh heading into the bout, after he was stopped by Glover Teixeira last September.
St-Preux, meanwhile, recorded a second round, submission win over Ryan Jimmo at UFC 174. The victory was OSP’s fourth straight since arriving in the UFC, and followed wins over Gian Villante, Cody Donovan and Nikita Krylov.
The light-heavyweight was asked about the possibility of facing Bader next, and St-Preux told MMA Junkie.com “that’d be a good match-up.”
UFC 174 was hosted by Vancouver, British Columbia’s Rogers Arena.
