AKA-trained Fighter Daniel Puder Striving to Be ‘Tough Enough’ By Joe Hall
Mixed martial artist Daniel Puder is a finalist on the WWE’s "$1,000,000 Tough Enough," a competition running as a segment on the weekly professional wrestling show SmackDown that will award one aspiring pro wrestler a WWE contract worth up to $1,000,000. Each week fans eliminate a finalist on the show by voting on the WWE Web site. The finalist with the fewest votes each week is eliminated until the victor is crowned on Dec. 16. Last week Puder had a run-in with Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle that left fans debating whether what they had seen was real. In the next issue of FCF, Puder discusses his experience thus far on Tough Enough, his views on the professional wrestling business, what gave him eight-hour headaches, whether Kurt Angle and "Big Show" intimidated him, and more. Bob Cook, Puder’s manager from American Kickboxing Academy, also discusses Puder’s abilities as a fighter and his future in MMA. SmackDown airs Thursdays on UPN at 8/7 Central. From the event’s promoter: CageFighting Championships 2 This Weekend at the Liverpool Olympia Golden Glory fighter Paul Cahoon and his business partner Daniel Taylor bring us, CageFighting Championships 2 this weekend, November 14th at the Liverpool Olympia. With an almost sellout crowd for his first show, Paul promised that his shows will keep getting bigger and fighters will keep getting better purses and so far he’s kept his promise. On a card with 11 MMA fights and 1 Thai fight, Paul and Daniel have not come up with just one or two headline bouts but five. The 4 novice fights see fighters ranging from 65 to 110Kg stepping into the cage for their first or second time with fighters from Cyprus, France and Ireland in a veritable England versus the rest of Europe under card.
