After signing a multi-fight deal with GLORY Kickboxing, Alistair Overeem is going to challenge the promotion’s heavyweight champ, Rico Verhoeven, next.

Overeem’s lengthy run with the UFC came to a close this past spring, following his stoppage loss to Alexander Volkov in February. In June, GLORY announced the legendary heavyweight was returning to the kickboxing ring.

On Monday, the promotion announced that Overeem will battle Verhoeven on October 23rd. The fight will take place at GelreDome in Arnhem, The Netherlands.

Overeem hasn’t competed in a kickboxing match since 2010, when he stopped Peter Aerts.

Verhoeven, meanwhile, is coming off a TKO win over Tarik Khbabez in January.

GLORY: Collision 3 will be available via pay-per-view.
