Amanda Nunes Apologizes to Ronda Rousey, Praises Former Champ
By FCF Staff
Amanda Nunes was extremely critical of Ronda Rousey and her team following their bout at UFC 207, but now the UFC bantamweight champ has apologized to the star.
Nunes took out Rousey in less than one minute on December 30th, and afterwards, the Brazilian called on fans to forget about the American fighter. In addition, Nunes also questioned the abilities of Rousey, and how previous opponents had lost to the Judoka.
Recently, however, the heavy handed fighter issued the following apology to Rousey via Instagram.
Let me take a moment to explain myself. I was overwhelmed with adrenaline, emotion and hurt at the time. I held so much in during the weeks prior to my fight with Ronda. I might have said or posted some things at the time that I now realize was not the right thing to do. I want to apologize to Ronda. Her fans and mine and the UFC as well. Ronda is an amazing athlete and has done so much for this sport, especially for the women. #respect
