It’s been over a week now since Anderson Silva broke his leg while fighting Chris Weidman at UFC 168, and the former middleweight champ continues to update fans on his condition.

Most recently, the 38 year-old legend posted a picture of him rehabbing his broken leg on Instagram and stated (translation via Google):

“Thank you for the affection of all. I’ll be good. I promise you I will.”

Silva has not publicly announced that he intends to fight again, but he reportedly told veteran fighter Pedro Rizzo he “will be back.”

Silva’s leg broke severely after Weidman checked his kick in round two on December 28th. The defeat was Silva’s second to Weidman, who also knocked him out at UFC 162 in July.
