Anderson Silva To Fight In Meca 6!

Anderson Silva to Fight in MECA 6!
By Eduardo Alonso

The next edition of the MECA World Vale Tudo is shaping up to be the best ever! With less than a month until the event, promoter and Chute Boxe team coach, Rudimar Fedrigo shared some news about the event with us.
In addition to the exciting match-ups announced earlier, yesterday he confirmed that none other than Shooto Champion and Chute Boxe’s newest star Anderson Silva will be fighting at the event! Anderson, who in his last fight beat Japanese hero Hayato Sakurai, had some problems because of a contract signed with the UFC, however Rudimar assured FCF that Anderson will fight at the event, and he will face "Jucão", a Brazilian Top Team member!
In another surprising announcement, Rudimar told FCF that Flavio Moura won’t be fighting Jorge "Macaco" Patino anymore, and instead the UFC and IVC veteran will face none other than Ruas Vale Tudo team member and Rings veteran Gustavo "Ximu"! This promises to be a great fight, with Ximu being considered one of the top fighters on the Ruas Vale Tudo team and "Macaco" looking for a win to get him on the right track again.
The event is confirmed for Thursday, January 24th, at the Circulo Militar, the same venue that held the previous editions of MECA, in Curitiba. The event will also feature two title fights, with Carlos Barreto fighting for the Heavyweight title, and current Pride sensation Murilo "Ninja" Rua fighting against "Navalhada" for the Middleweight title. MECA 6 will be broadcast live on Pay-Per-View in Brazil, and the full card will be released in early January! FCF will be there to cover all the action!
