Just over a month out from the fifth World Series of Fighting event on September 14th, the card’s main event has reportedly been changed, as Andrei Arlovski will now compete in the headliner.

According to multiple reports, Anthony Johnson has been injured in training, and as a result, Arlovski will face original opponenet Mike Kyle. MMA Fighting.com is reporting the bout will now take place at heavyweight as a result of the switch.

The nature of Johnson’s injury was not revealed.

Arlovski (19-10) is in fact coming off a unanimous decision loss to Johnson at WSOF 2 in March, after going undefeated in five straight bouts.

Kyle (20-9-1) quickly took out Travis Wiuff at a Championship Fighting Alliance event in May, after being submitted by Gegard Mousasi under the Strikeforce banner in January.

WSOF 5 will take place at Atlantic City’s Revel Resort and Casino and will be broadcast on the NBC Sports Network.
