Arnold Allen recorded his seventh straight win in the Octagon at UFC Raleigh this past weekend. But, due to his continued presence on the prelims and his lacking of a top 15 ranking, the British fighter passed on what he thinks should come next.

Allen faced Nik Lentz on Saturday, and worked his way to a decision win over the rugged vet. While talking about what he hopes comes next afterward, however, the 26-year-old said this (quotes via MMA Junkie):

“I feel great. They took me out of the rankings, but as I always say, keep winning and everything will take care of itself.”

“I’m on the longest win streak in the featherweight division and I’m not even on the final prelim fight of the night and I didn’t even get an interview in the octagon, so it’s not really up to me (what I want next). I’ll keep winning and eventually they won’t have a choice.”

With the win, Allen pushed his overall record to an impressive 16-1. Prior to his bout with Lentz, Allen scored a UD win over former Strikeforce lightweight champ Gilbert Melendez last July.
