Bellator Welterweight Champion Ben Askren and challenger Jay Hieron both came in just under 170lbs. yesterday, to clear the way for their title fight tonight at Kansas City’s Memorial Hall.

The Bellator 56 card will also feature the semifinals of the promotion’s ongoing heavyweight tournament, as Thiago Santos will take on Neil Grove and Eric Prindle will face Ron Sparks.

The card will be broadcast live on MTV 2 and the night’s preliminary action will be streamed at Spike.com.
