After putting together an impressive run, and winning a Battlegrounds MMA tourney, Roan Carneiro has announced he’s signed a new UFC deal.

Carneiro exited the UFC in 2008, following a split decision loss to Ryo Chonan, but since then the ATT Atlanta fighter has gone 7-1. In October, the 36 year-old fighter won a one night, welterweight tourney for Battlegrounds MMA.

The veteran fighter made the announcement via Instagram by posting:

Carneiro currently holds a record of 19-9. No information regarding the BJJ black belt’s next fight was disclosed.
