After announcing recently that he was UFC bound, Siyar Bahadurzada has first Octagon bout confirmed, as the welterweight veteran will fight Erick Silva at UFC 142 on January 14th.

The promotion announced the addition to the event today, which is expected to take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Bahadurzada (20-4) will head into his UFC debut having won six straights fights, which includes victories over John Alessio and most recently Tom Depret.

Silva (13-1) is coming a successful Octagon debut, as the Team Nogueira fighter stopped Luis Ramos in the first round at UFC 134 in August.

The UFC has also announced that light-heavyweight Stanislav Nedkov will battle Fabio Maldonado at the upcoming January 14th event.

Nedkov made the most of his Octagon introduction at UFC 134, by TKOíng Luiz Cane to extend his overall, undefeated record to 12-0.

Maldonado (18-4) fought last in June and lost by unanimous decision to Kyle Kingsbury at the TUF 13 Finale, to put an end to his 11 fight win streak.

UFC 142 will feature a featherweight bout between champion Jose Aldo and challenger Chad Mendes in the main event.
