UFC veteran Xavier Foupa-Pokam became just the second man to defeat British middleweight Jack Marshman at BAMMA’s latest event in Birmingham, England today, by handing the vet a split decision loss.

The victory returned the French fighter to the winner’s column, after losing by UD to Claudio Henrique da Silva at a Super Fight League card in October, while Marshmann was coming off a submission win over Andrew Punshon in September.

The only other fighter to defeat Marshman in 13 pro bouts is UFC middleweight Tom Watson.

Other action at BAMMA 11 saw Tom Breese and Steven Ray lay claim to the promotion’s British welterweight and lightweight championships respectively.

Here are the main card results from BAMMA 11 (via MMA Junkie)

Xavier Foupa-Pokam def. Jack Marshman via split decision (30-27, 28-29, 30-27)

Lonsdale British Welterweight Championship
Tom Breese def. Warren Kee via submission (rear-naked choke) – R1, 3:06

Lonsdale British Lightweight Championship
Steven Ray def. Dale Hardiman via unanimous decision (30-27, 30-27, 30-27)

Max Nunes def. Kevin Thompson via knockout (punches) – R1, 1:4
