Tickets are on sale now http://bit.ly/BAMMA29.

“BAMMA is known for producing some of the most remarkable athletes, colourful characters, and memorable fights on UK soil, and fans are going to be super excited about what is yet to come in 2017. BAMMA 29 sees the hugely talented Chris Miah make his eagerly anticipated  return, and the supporting card is packed with engaging and intriguing bouts.” – Jude Samuel BAMMA Matchmaker

Two fighters returning to the promotion after a short absence face off against each other on May 12th and both will be aiming to make an impression. Jay ‘Red Bull’ Butler is out to erase memories of his BAMMA 23 debut and make it a very long night for Chris Miah. Miah has signed with the promotion on a multifight deal that will mark his first appearance since BAMMA 20. Now moving up to Bantamweight, the Birmingham based Miah intends to put down a marker to the whole division that nobody is safe in his march to the title.

Mindagus Gerve recently put pen to paper with the promotion and now makes his debut against Wolverhampton based Luke ‘Nuke’ Morton. The Lithuanian born Gerve is currently based in Belfast and is all set to build on the winning start to his pro career. Morton however, will be coming for a hometown win on the biggest stage that he has fought on thus far in his career. Heavy leather will be thrown as these up and coming Heavyweights clash at the Genting Arena on May 12th.

Pelu Adetola makes a return to BAMMA once more as he faces off against UTC Birmingham’s Nathias Frederick in a Middleweight collision that could have ramifications within the division moving forward. ‘The Nigerian Diamond’ is always a tough and difficult opponent to face, as Fredericks joins his other UTC teammates Yannick Bahati and Fabian Edwards on what is already shaping up to be one of the fightcards of the year.

Additional Info

Jay ‘Red Bull’ Butler (2-2) the Andy Roberts BJJ Instructor recently got awarded his BJJ black belt by Roger Gracie and intends to put that to full use at BAMMA 29. Butler has set his targets on finishing his career inside the BAMMA arena and with all of his fights ending by way of submission, his aggressive ground based attacks will be once more on display. The Farnborough fighter is expecting to be nothing short of spectacular in his bout with Miah on May 12th.

Chris Miah’s (7-1) last bout for the promotion was a submission of Daniel Barez at BAMMA 20. Now moving his training to Titan Fighter under Brad ‘One Punch’ Pickett and Mickey Papas, the Birmingham based Miah has a renewed vigour as he now moves up to the Bantamweight division where he feels healthier and stronger. With all but one of his victories coming by stoppage, you can be sure that fireworks will go off as these two surging prospects meet face to face in the Genting Arena.

Mindaugus Gerve (1-0) was set to make his BAMMA debut last month in Belfast until his opponent got injured at the last minute. However, the IFS Northern Ireland Heavyweight still signed on the dotted line with the promotion and now gets to make his BAMMA debut against the very dangerous Luke ’Nuke’ Morton. Undefeated in his career at both amateur and now pro, Gerve is already starting to make waves and is planning on making quick work of Morton before moving onto his next opponent. With none of his fights ever going past the second round, you can be sure he intends to keep that promise.

Luke ‘Nuke’ Morton (3-3) The Wolverhampton brawler is looking to recapture the early form in his pro career when he went 3-0 in less than one minute of combined time. The heavy handed Morton is excited to be showcasing his skills on the biggest platform of his career and intends on sending the local fans in attendance home happy.

‘The Nigerian Diamond’ Pelu Adetola (3-5) makes his next appearance on BAMMA in the Middleweight division, where he feels he can make a big impact and quickly. Despite losing a close decision to Ben Forsyth at BAMMA 26, Adetola has his sights set on promotional gold and moving down to Middleweight will allow him to retain his intense power and strengthen his ground base. The Titan fighter is making his 3rd appearance after previously facing the aforementioned Forsyth and BAMMA 29 Headliner Brett ‘The Spartan’ McDermott at BAMMA 23.

Nathais Frederick (3-2) from UTC Birmingham will be joining his team mates, Yannick ‘Black Mamba’ Bahati and Fabian ‘The Assassin’ Edwards on the BAMMA 29 fightcard. Currently on a 3 fight win streak, the Birmingham fighter is looking to rack up yet another KO victory to add to his collection. Another fighter who likes to finish fights, he sees Adetola as the perfect foil for his punching power.

BAMMA 29: McDermott Vs. Wolf takes place at the Genting Arena, Birmingham 12th May 2017. Tickets are on sale now from The Ticket Factory or via the following link http://bit.ly/BAMMA29
