BAMMA Action Headed to HDNet
The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts has taken a big step to increase its exposure in North America, as the promotion has announced that is has signed a multi-year broadcasting agreement with HDNet.
The upcoming, December 10th, BAMMA 8 card in Nottingham, England, will be the first card that’s broadcast live on the high definition network.
“BAMMA puts on the best MMA shows in Europe and HDNet broadcasts the best fights from around the globe,” Andrew Simon, CEO of HDNet Fights was quoted saying in the official announcement. “It was the perfect fit. I had to get this deal done!”
BAMMA 8 will feature Jimmy Manuwa vs. light-heavyweight Antony Rea, British Middleweight Champion Jack Marshman vs. Lee “Leeroy” Barnes, Paul McVeigh vs. Erik Perez, Jimmy Wallhead vs. fellow veteran Joey Villasenor and Andre Winner vs. Diego Gonzales in a lightweight title eliminator fight.
BAMMA 9, on February 11th next year, will feature the promotional debut of UFC vet Nate Marquardt, who will take on welterweight Yoshiyuki Yoshida.
