BattleGrounds MMA has announced that UFC vet Roan Carneiro, is the latest fighter who has signed on to compete in the promotion’s June 27th, single night welterweight tourney.

Carneiro (16-9) will enter the competition having won back-to-back bouts while fighting for Road FC and Wild Bill’s Fight Night. The Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt has gone 4-1 in his last 5 contests.

The 35 year-old veteran is the seventh man to be confirmed for the tourney, which will also feature Dennis Hallman (53-14-2, 1 NC), Cody “AK Kid” McKenzie (15-4), Chris Honeycutt(4-0), Luigi “The Italian Tank” Fioravanti (24-11), David “Bulletproof” Mitchell (14-4) and Josh “The Beast” Bryant (14-4).

The tournament winner will receive a $50,000 grand prize, and the event will be hosted by the BOK Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
