Bellator 101: Rob Sinclair Injured, Ricardo Tirloni to Compete in Lightweight Tourney

By FCF Staff

Just a couple of weeks before Bellator’s lightweight tourney kicks off on September 27th, the promotion has announced that Rob Sinclair has been forced to drop out due to a knee injury. Ricardo Tirloni will take the British fighter’s place and will fight UFC vet Rich Clementi in the opening round.

Tirloni (15-4), who was scheduled to fight Marcin Held at Bellator 101, is coming off back-to-back losses to Will Brooks and Dave Jansen. The Brazilian is 2-3 in his last five bouts after winning 10 straight.

Due to Tirloni’s move into the tourney, veteran Ryan Healy will fight Held at the event, which will be hosted by the Rose Garden in Portland. The main card will be broadcast live on SPIKE.
