Pat Curran and Daniel Straus engaged in a thrilling battle at Bellator 112 Friday night, and over one million viewers reportedly tuned in to watch the championship bout.

According to a press release sent out Monday by SPIKE, 1,035,000 people watched Curran and Straus fight between 10:45PM and 11:00PM, and 1,037,000 watched from 11:00PM through 11:15pm.

Overall, Bellator 112 averaged 699,000 viewers for SPIKE. These figures do not include DVR numbers.

Curran ended the competitive and entertaining battle late in round five, by tapping Straus out with a rear-naked-choke.

In November, Curran lost the featherweight title to Straus at Bellator 106, who won that encounter by unanimous decision. In their first meeting, back in 2009, Curran knocked Straus out.
