Bellator 114: Alexander Shlemenko Scores 50th Pro Win by Tapping Brennan Ward

Here are the results from tonight’s Bellator 114 card in Salt Lake City, Utah, which saw middleweight champ Alexander Shlemenko submit Brennan Ward with a second round, guillotine choke.

In the opening round, Ward was able to battle through several hard kicks and punches to the body, and threatened Shlemenko with submission attempts on the ground. Shortly into round two, however, the renowned striker caught Ward with a modified guillotine choke as he moved in for a takedown.

The victory was the 50th of the 29 year-old Russian fighter’s career.
