Bellator 127: Daniel Straus vs. Justin Wilcox to Headline

By FCF Staff

Bellator has announced that former featherweight champ Daniel Straus will take on veteran Justin Wilcox in the main event of the promotion’s October 3rd card.

Bellator 127 will be hosted by the Pechanga Resort and Casino in Temecula, California, and the main card will be broadcast on SPIKE.

Straus (22-5) will be looking to rebound from his memorable, fifth round submission loss to champion Pat Curran in March. Last November, Straus decisioned Curran to take the featherweight belt.

“I’m ready to get back to work,” Straus said in a press release from the promotion. “I love to stay active, fight as much as I can, and now I have the opportunity to get back on the road to getting my title shot, and Justin is in the way of that goal. I’ve got to focus on myself and what I’m doing, but you better believe I’ll have my eyes on Curran-Pitbull on September 5th as well.”

Wilcox (14-6) is coming off a decision win over Jason Fischer in March, after he was stopped by Patricio “Pitbull” Freire at Bellator 108 in November.

Bellator has also confirmed that Karo Parisyan will take on Marius Zaromskis on October 3rd, and that Kendall Grove will battle Christian M’Pumbu that same night.

Here is the line-up for Bellator 127 thus far:

MAIN CARD:

Featherweight Feature Fight: Daniel Straus (22-5) vs. Justin Wilcox (14-6)

Welterweight Feature Fight: Karo Parisyan (24-10) vs. Marius Zaromskis (20-8)

Middleweight Feature Fight: Kendall Grove (19-14) vs. Christian M’Pumbu (18-6)
