Bellator 133: Pat Curran to Face Daniel Weichel

By FCF Staff

Bellator 133 has received its co-headliner, as the promotion has announced that former featherweight champ Pat Curran will take on Daniel Weichel at the event.

The upcoming card will take place February 13th at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, California.

Curran (20-6) will be looking to get back on track, after he lost via unanimous decision to current champion Patricio “Pitbull” Freire in September. The rugged vet was coming off a submission win over Daniel Straus in March, which saw Curran avenge a decision loss to Straus in November, 2013.

Weichel (34-8), meanwhile, is riding a six fight win streak and most recently he submitted Desmond Green to win a featherweight tourney in May.

The Viacom promotion has also announced that the February 13th event will feature Julia Budd (6-2) taking on featherweight Talita Nogueira (6-0).

Bellator 133 will feature a middleweight fight between former champ Alexander Shlemenko and Melvin Manhoef in the main event.
