Bellator 136: Will Brooks Outscores Dave Jansen in Grueling Fight

Will Brooks retained Bellator’s Lightweight Championship tonight in Irvine, California, but the talented fighter had to outwork a very game and tough, Dave Jansen.

Jansen came out aggressively and tested Brooks early on with numerous kicks and an active clinch game, but as the bout wore on, the champ took over. Although Jansen stayed in the fight and never appeared to be in any serious danger, Brooks outscored the challenger for the remaining rounds.

In the end, the American Top Team fighter was awarded a unanimous decision win.
