Bellator 138: Kimbo Slice Takes Out Ken Shamrock, Patricio “Pitbull” Scores Thrilling Comeback Win

At Bellator 138 it looked like Ken Shamrock would add a victory to his resume at the age of 51, but Kimbo Slice had other ideas.

Not long into the fight, Shamrock was able to easily take Slice to the mat with a single leg takedown, and quickly worked his way to the latter’s back. From there, Shamrock started hunting for a rear-naked-choke, and while it looked like Slice might tap, he worked his way free.

With the bout back on its feet, Slice floored Shamrock with a huge right hook, and the bout was quickly called off by referee “Big” John McCarthy.

In the co-headliner, featherweight champ Patricio “Pitbull” Freire scored a thrilling, come from behind victory over Daniel Weichel.

As round one neared its end. Weichel rocked “Pitbull” with a straight right, and then walloped him with a knee to the head right before the bell. Freire was visibly shaken, and when he came out for round two, the end of his reign appeared near.

Weichel came out aggressively, and as he looked to finish the champion, Freire sent him crashing to the mat with a huge left hook. McCarthy stepped in to save Weichel from any further punishment.

Here are the results for Bellator 138, which was hosted by the Scottrade Center in St. Louis.
