Following reports that Josh Thomson has been forced out of a May 14th bout with Michael Chandler due to injury, Bellator has confirmed the fighter’s withdrawal.

According to a press release sent out by the promotion, Thomson – Chandler will be held at another event. No information regarding Thomson’s injury was disclosed.

Bellator has also announced, however, that highly regarded heavyweight Sergei Kharitonov (23-5) will make his promotional debut on May 14th. The PRIDE, Strikeforce, and Glory vet will take on Josh Appelt (12-5).

Here is the updated line-up for Bellator 154, which will take place in San Jose, California. Two more bouts are to be added to the main card.
