Roger Huerta is returning to the Bellator cage next week for the first time since 2010, and he’s doing so, via a one fight deal.

The veteran fighter is booked to take on former UFC lightweight champ Benson Henderson, at Bellator 196 on April 6th. Recently Huerta informed MMA Junkie that he turned down a multi-fight deal with Bellator, in an effort to secure more money:

“I think that I’m worth more, and I’m going to show that I’m worth more. My life is on the line.”

“I’m in this because I make a living doing this, and I only have so many years left to do this, so I want to make the most of it.”

The 34 year-old Huerta (24-9-1) is coming off a win over Hayder Hassan via disqualification (elbows to the back-of-head), and is 3-2 in his last 5 bouts. Henderson (24-8) is looking to end a two fight losing skid, as he’s received split decision losses to Michael Chandler and Patricky Friere in his last two bouts.

Bellator 196 will take place in Budapest, Hungary.
