Chael Sonnen battled back from an early knockdown tonight at Bellator 208, but eventually, Fedor Emelianenko finished the accomplished vet, and advanced to the finals of the heavyweight grand-prix.

Emelianenko sent Sonnen to the deck moments into the bout with a huge, left uppercut. The rugged wrestler rebounded, however, and managed to take Fedor down. After a couple of scrambling exchanges on the ground, Emelianenko finished Sonnen with a flurry of ground-and-pound strikes.

With the win, Fedor will now face Ryan Bader in the finals of the heavyweight grand-prix.
