After their first bout ended in an undecisive matter, Sergei Kharitonov took out Matt Mitrione in their rematch at Bellator 225.

The Russian heavyweight finished the American Mitrione with a booming uppercut and a knee in round two of the main event. The two fought this past February, but the fight was quickly called after Kharitonov took a low blow and could not continue.
