Bellator 238: Aaron Pico Says He’s in no “Position” to Make Call Out, Despite KO Win
By FCF Staff
Although Aaron Pico recorded a massive, knockout win at Bellator 238 this past Saturday, the 23-year-old won’t be making any call outs.
Pico took on Daniel Carey at the event and brutally knocked him out in round two. The victory returned the featherweight prospect to the win column, following back-to-back losses.
After his pivotal win, Pico had this to say, when asked who he wants to fight next (quotes via MMA Junkie):
“That’s a good question for Ali Abdelaziz, my manager,” Pico said. “I’m not in the position, honestly. It was a great win for me. It was a great win for my team. But honestly, I’m in no position to be calling people out. I wish I could.
“There’s a lot of people I’d like to fight, but I’ll leave that up to the management and Bellator. Like I said, when I start getting my wins back, I’ll make it known who I want to fight and stuff. Right now, I’m just going to keep chipping away every single day.”
With Saturday’s win, Pico’s record now stands at 5-3. Carey’s fell to 7-4.
