Bellator has added one of Brazil’s top featherweight prospects to its roster, as the promotion has announced that Julio Cesar “Morceguinho” Neves has signed with the promotion.

“Morceguinho” has already recorded a 28-0 record, even though he’s just 19 years old and didn’t start fighting until 2011. 25 of the fighter’s wins have come via stoppage or submission.

“I came to Bellator to fight the best in the world,” Neves said in a press release from the promotion. “The Bellator Featherweight division has some of the best fighters in the world, and I want to fight the best. I want to thank my coach Marcelo Brigadeiro, Bjorn Rebney and everyone at Bellator. I just can’t to fight in the United States and show what I can do.”

“Having my best fighters fighting for Bellator makes me very happy and proud,” Brigadeiro said. “I like to deal with them because the way they treat and respect me and my fighters, it’s unique. I always had faith that Bellator would get bigger and bigger and Bellator always had faith in my work as a manager and as a coach and now with Bellator partnering with Fox Latin American, I can see only great things happening for Bellator in the near future.”

Bellator did not announce when Neves could make his promotional debut.

In addition to Neves, the promotion has also signed Cleiton Duarte and Diego Marlon. Like Neves, the fighters are overseen by Prime Fighters Management.
